This is all of my completed projects that I finished in Digital Design.
For this drawing I used the pencil, paint brush, and eraser tools.
I decided to finish this drawing that I started a few weeks ago. I used the pencil, paint brush, and eraser tools for this drawing as well.
I usually don’t put color into my drawings but I like the way this one turned out.
Today was project day and I decided to draw on the tablet. At home I have a lot of old books and I enjoy drawing in them so I thought I would try that technique on the tablet. I got an old book page image off of google, then used the paint, eraser, and pencil tools to create an octopus. After that I colored it.
Today was project day and I drew on the tablet.
I used the paint brush, pencil, and text tools to create this. The inspiration for this is from the music video to the song Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran.
I used the text tool and the tablet to put the words on this photo.
I used the paint, eraser, and pencil tools to draw this on the tablet.
I got the paint splatter image off google and changed the opacity to about 80%. I used the text tool to type the words in bold with a font size of 24pt. I centered the text by clicking the center text icon. I added a watermark using the text tool and changed the opacity to about 18%.
Today was a project day and I painted a lady:
I used the paint brush, pencil, and eraser tools to paint this using the tablet.
Today was a project day and I decided to work on the unfinished painting I started before Halloween.
I just added to the background using the paint brush tool and eraser.
I also started and finished a painting of Melanie Martinez from her ‘Dollhouse’ music video.
I got the pink background from google then added the polkadots using the paintbrush tool. I then used the paintbrush, pencil, and eraser tools to draw the outline, then paint her. I used the top photo as a reference for her face and hair and the bottom as a reference for her bow and dress.
Today was a project day and I continued to work on the project I started wednesday.
I used the paint brush, pencil, eraser, and blur tools to make this. For the shirt I got a galaxy image, copy and pasted underneath the girl outline, chose the quick selection tool and selected just the are of the shirt. I copied it, deleted the galaxy layer, then pressed cmd+v to paste the galaxy print into the shirt. I made the background using the same colors as the girls hair but at different opacities.
I started and finished another project using the same theme:
I painted all of this except the skulls I copied them from google, pasted, then transformed them.
Today I finished the project I started yesterday.
The background is a picture of my bedroom wall, which has all my artwork and band lyrics. I painted the girl using the drawing tablet. I used the paintbrush, pencil and eraser tools.
I didn’t have time to post a picture of the project I finished on tuesday before break:
I painted this using the drawing tablet. First I painted the background black then I drew the outline using a white pencil. I continued coloring everything in with white pencil/paintbrush. I added the words using the tex tool. Then I used the warp tool to bend the words (lyrics from a blink 182 song) so that they would border the moon. I used the free transform tool to help with this.
I would also like to share a digital painting I did with my own tablet at home during the holidays.
This is a painting of my mother and me. It was a part of her christmas present and she absolutely loved it.
Today I started a new project using the drawing tablet. I painted a girl with bright blue eyes and colorful hair.
I drew the girl using the paint brush tool. I got the piercing images from google and used the free transform tool to scale them and I warped the nose ring to fit with the nose. The most difficult part of this was trying to paint it with no hard outlines. But I love how it turned out.
Today I created a cd cover for the cd that contains my art work that I have to send to a college.
I took the brain bench exam again nd still didn’t earn a certification. I did a small project for my friend Aileen who is a big fan of Beyonce.
I got this picture and removed the face.
Then I got this picture from Aileen:
I used the quick selection tool to select Aileen’s face, then I pressed cmd+j to move it to the original fan picture. I moved the new layer underneath the other one. I free transformed Aileen’s face so that it fit in the hole where the other girls face use to be. Then I used the paint brush tool and the warp tool to make the new face blend in with the old picture. I also used the blur tool. Then I added a brightness/contrast layer.
After doing that short project I started a new drawing on the tablet
So far this is what I have finished:
I used the paint brush tool and eraser tool to make this. I used some really cool paint brushes that I downloaded to make the hair look like a galaxy.
Today I finished the project I started last Friday:
I used the paint brush tools that I downloaded and the eraser tool.
Today I started a new project.
I started painting on the tablet and this is what I came up with:
I used the paintbrush and eraser tools for the entire thing. I forget to work in different layers when Im painting but I remembered to make another layer for the background this time.
For the back ground I painted it green then downloaded a leaf brush set. I painted the leaves in different shades of green. I wanted the background to match her green eye.
Today I decided to redo one of my previous projects that I finished at the beginning of last semester to show how much I’ve improved with the tablet and photoshop.
I like the new version so much better. I used some star brushes that I downloaded for the sky. Im really happy with how it turned out.
I also started this project:
Today I finished the project I started yesterday:
Today I started a new project. Its a painting I finished using the tablet.
This is the basic outline. I usually always start drawing hair first. After that I might start with the skin.
Then I colored the hair.
After that I added more details.
Then I painted the background black.
Today I started working on my friend Aileen’s senior announcements. so far I edited a few of the pictures I know she wanted.
I brightened her smile, removed some blemishes and lightened the first photo a bit. I also changed the color of her toe nail polish to match her finger nail polish.
Here is what I have for the front cover so far:
Today I continued working on Aileen’s senior announcements. I started on the back and this is what I have so far:
Today I finished Aileen’s senior announcements.
For the back I used the same gray color of the front font for the background color. I made a part of the back pink to put the information on. I typed the information using the text tool. I resized the photos using the free transform tool to fit perfectly in the grey area.
Today I finished my senior announcements.
Here are the original pictures:
They were very dark looking so I brightened them up using the brightness/contrast tool. I cropped the bottom photo and flipped it horizontally. I used the spot removal tool on the top photo to get rid of some stray hairs.I used some of the photoshop actions my teacher showed me today. To the top photo I added the action ‘lens flare only (right)’. For the bottom photo I opened it in camera raw and edited it there. Im not quite sure what I did but I made it look brighter and the colors look more vibrant. Then I added the action ‘lens flare only (right)’ to it.
I added the top photo to the 5×7 background that I colored a light purple.
Then I used the rectangular marquee tool to make a rectangle on top of the photo. I used the paint bucket tool to color the inside of the rectangle black. Then I drew another rectangle inside that one and pressed delete. This left a thin outline of the rectangle. I lowered the opacity:
I duplicated that a few times and resized it:
Then I added some purple rectangles:
After that I added my schools name and my name, then I got some flowers from google and lowered their opacity and thats all.
For the back I just used the exact same colors and basically just moved the rectangles and stuff from the front cover over to the back cover image.
Today was a project day and I started a new painting using the tablet. I decided I wanted to paint a girl with her face painted like a sugar skull.
I started drawing the face and ended up with this:
After that I stated working on the hair and makeup:
Then I changed the color of the hair:
After that I selected half of her face and pasted it to a new document:
I colored the whole background black:
Then I painted a blue rose:
I duplicated it a few times and resized and rotated the duplicates and thats it:
Today was a project day and I painted a portrait of ariel from the little mermaid.
I added some different skin tones:
Then I colored everything:
Today I started my “final project”. The final project is an 11″x17″ poster. This poster is suppose to display the skills we have learned this year. We have until May 13th to complete it.
Today I made two separate posters that go together. I might make a few more and combine them all in the end to make one poster.
The first thing I did was use a paint splatter shaped paint brush. I used different shades of blue, purple and pink:
Then I selected a regular paint brush in the color white and painted the top border and the dots and for the 2nd painting I also selected different star brushes to put at the end f the strings. I also painted a moon on one of them:
After that I drew the girls in the painting with a white paint brush:
Then I painted a rose and duplicated it. I resized and rotated all the duplicates and thats it:
Today I finished the End of Year project:
I drew this today:
Then added it and the two drawings from yesterday onto a 17″x11″ canvas and made tham fit onto it:
Then I painted the left over background
added lines using the rectangular marquee tool and the paint bucket tool:
added purple star dust to the lines:
added more roses:
added stars using a star brush
and finally I added more triangles:
Today I painted a picture for my mom for mother’s day:
I started with this outline:
Then I painted the background black and added shading:
Then I added more details to the faces:
I added pink and tan skin tones:
I colored the hair and baby blanket:
I added more details to the hair and remade the lines to the outline thicker:
After that I drew a white rose and duplicated it a few times. I resized and rotated the duplicates as needed:
I copied the rose layer, moved it under the original rose layer and colored that layer a reddish brown using the paint bucket tool:
Today I made a poster of all of the projects I’ve done this year:
All I did was copy and paste each picture on then I used the free transform tool to resize them.
Today I wanted to try something new. i attempted a watercolor painting with the tablet:
I started with an outline of a girl then found a random paint brush that gave me the water color effect.
I painted with a low opacity so that it would look more water color:
